Hoa Buu Art Gallery has stood at 37 Trần Phú since 1997 — a shophouse in the middle of Hội An Ancient Town where the painter Hoa Thái still works every day. Every canvas on these walls is acrylic, hand-painted and signed: no prints, no reproductions, and no two alike.

Hoa Thái
Hoa Thái opened Hoa Buu Art Gallery at 37 Trần Phú in 1997, in a shophouse in the middle of the Ancient Town. She has painted here ever since.
Her subjects are the ones just outside the door — the market at first light, women in áo dài under flame trees, sampans on the Thu Bồn, rain flattening the roofs into colour. Acrylic on canvas, laid on thickly, worked until the light sits right.
Commissions are welcome. If a painting you liked has already sold, she will often paint something close to it — visitors have had work finished and shipped within a few weeks.
